and wander
Founded in 2011 by designers Keita Ikeuchi and Mihoko Mori, who believed that "you should enjoy fashion in the mountains and nature just as you do in the city," the brand develops products that pursue both a sensibility-stimulating sense of fashion and practical functionality as outdoor wear.
Their products are based on the enjoyment they have experienced while actually hiking in the mountains, characterized by the use of durable and lightweight materials that protect against wind and rain, and color palettes that harmonize with the mountains while providing a fresh look in the city. The designs feature comfortable cutting and practical details backed by field tests conducted both in Japan and abroad.
"The joy of playing in the mountains" has been a consistent philosophy since the founding of and wander, and they engage in various activities, including the creation of seasonal collections and the operation of a user-participatory hiking club.
