and wander
Established in 2011 by designers Keita Ikeuchi and Mihoko Mori, who believed that "one should enjoy fashion in the mountains and nature just as much as in the city," the brand creates products that pursue both mood-inspiring aesthetics and practical functionality as outdoor wear.
Their products are based on the enjoyment they have felt while actually hiking in the mountains, characterized by the use of durable and lightweight materials that protect against wind and rain, and color palettes that harmonize with the mountains while appearing fresh in the city. The designs feature comfortable cutting and practical details backed by field tests conducted both domestically and abroad.
"The joy of playing in the mountains" has been a consistent philosophy since the founding of and wander, and the brand expresses this in various forms, from the creation of each season's collection to the operation of a user-participatory hiking club.
