Feld is the root word of "Field" in classical German.
“W” stands for wherever, whenever, whoever, whatever.
"wfeld" was designed by Hiroshi Nozawa as initial wear for lifestyle artists who use hybrid scenes as their playfield , from walking around town and traveling to outdoor leisure activities .

Designer Hiroshi Nozawa
Born in 1965 in Osaka and the Kansai region, he started designing by self-taught himself, remaking vintage clothing.
He has been designing for various brands since the 1980s and 1990s, and started his own brand, "norbit," in the United States in the late 1990s.
Since the 2000s, he has been based in Tokyo and has been involved in design direction, primarily for outdoor brands.
"norbit" was relaunched in 2018 and is now expanding globally.
